Kirk shares his story of family, service, and sacrifice and how he honors those through his actions as reminders of his purpose. An avid outdoorsman from early on, Kirk’s life choices brought him many memorable moments with his family that included seeing some amazing places while assigned to a few of the Army’s most storied units. These experiences also included significant and tragic events that eventually led to his ultimate mission of creating an organization committed to serving the gold star community by bringing people together as a way of healing, remembering, and honoring the memory of the fallen.
